
The ERA Health Research team includes physicians, registered nurses, lab technicians, research coordinators and assistants. Our team is BLS, GCP, IATA & HSP certified. Our research assistants and coordinators have medical assistant licenses and are trained in phlebotomy.

CEO & Co-Founder
Chad Crystal, M.D., FACEP
Dr. Crystal has been an physician for over 20 years. After training at Northwestern University Medical School and Darnall Army Community Hospital, he worked as the Medical Director for the emergency department at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland, OR. Dr. Crystal and his family moved to Washington in 2011 where he joined the Evergreen Emergency Services group as a full-time staff physician and has served as the president of the group since 2013. In 2019, Dr. Crystal and his colleague Dr. Hanson founded ERA Health Research.

COO & Co-Founder
Kevin Hanson, M.D., FACEP
Dr. Hanson has been a physician for over 20 years. After training at the University of Washington School of Medicine and University of Arizona Emergency Medicine Residency, he worked at Valley General Hospital and Providence Everett Medical Center before joining the Evergreen Emergency Services group as a full-time staff physician. He is also currently the Executive Director of Emergency Services & Urgent Care for Evergreen Hospital. In 2019, Dr. Hanson and his colleague Dr. Crystal founded ERA Health Research.

Chief Strategy & Growth Officer
David LaMarche, MBA
David joined Era Health Research in October of 2023 as its Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, responsible for driving growth both within existing locations and through selection of future clinical research sites. Prior to Era, David was the President of Eastside Health Network (EHN), a clinically integrated network in the greater Seattle area with approximately 2,000 network providers that provided care for over 75,000 covered lives. Before EHN, David spent nearly 20 years at Virginia Mason. David earned an MBA from Anaheim University’s Akio Morita School of Business and a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University.
